New York City, NY) – Japanese psych-garage rockers Zoobombs release their new album today, La Vie En Jupon. After signing Röyksopp in 2010, The MuseBox’s record label, MB3 Records, have added Zoobombs as their 2nd artist to the roster. The release of their new album coincides with the end of their North American tour that began March 2nd in Chicago and ends with this week's performances in Los Angeles at Redwood on 3/31 and 4/1. The tour continues in Tokyo during the rest of April. Tour dates below.

The Zoobombs were formed by DON Matsuo (vocals/guitar), Matta (keyboards), and Moostop (bass) in Tokyo in September 1994 and -- together with various drummers – have been amazing rock audiences in Japan, North American and Australia ever since. The Zoobombs’ brand of rock and roll is unique: hardcore punk blues spiked with explorations of funk, rap, prog-rock, and even traditional Japanese folk.

The Zoobombs incendiary, live performances quickly shot them to the top of Japan’s indie-rock scene and opening concert performances for The Flaming Lips and Jon Spencer’s Blues Explosion. These Japanese psych rockers have been garnering heaps of praise from major media outlets and industry personalities across the globe for their unique blend of psychedelic funk rock. MTV Iggy saying “Essentially, it’s the band The Stones would be if they’d been forged in the post-punk era” and The New York Times featured their Let it Bomb album as a masterpiece OF the “Japanese Next Wave” rock movement.

The Lonely Forest's new music video for the song "We Sing In Time" premieres today on MTVU as part of their Indie Music Month. The video, which MTV's Buzzworthy Blog calls "a powerful, visually striking work that'll scare and sadden," can be viewed here: http://www.mtv.com/videos/the-lonely-forest/631968/we-sing-in-time.jhtml

Arrows, whichis out now on Trans Records, was Top 10 most added at CMJ upon its release last week and debuted on FMQB's Alternative Specialty Chart. Following several well-attended performances at South By Southwest, an appearance on Fuel TV's "The Daily Habit" and early critical praise, the band embarks on an extensive North American tour supporting The Joy Formidable this week. In addition, The Lonely Forest will join Death Cab For Cutie as direct support on their "Underplay" tour in May and June, including the Bowery Ballroom in New York City and El Rey in Los Angeles. Please see below for dates.

NYLON praises the album saying, "We are in love with The Lonely Forest. Listen to them now!" and Alternative Press calls Arrows "the band's most self-assured album yet." Teen Vogue describes the album as, "The perfect soundtrack for your next road trip. The songs are meant to be played you're your windows down, stereo up." Meanwhile, NPR's "Song of the Day" hails the band's previous single, saying "'Turn Off This Song' serves as a catchy call to arms, not to mention one of the best and most honest slices of pop music around."

Stream the album now at MSN Music: Arrows Listening Booth

The Lonely Forest's new song "Coyote" is available now as a free download: "Coyote"

Trans Records is the new label headed by Chris Walla, guitarist and producer for Grammy-nominated rock band Death Cab for Cutie, who found The Lonely Forest's music so compelling he made the band his label's very first signing. Walla produced and engineered Arrowsat Sound City studio in Los Angeles, Tiny Telephone in San Francisco and his own, Portland-based studio, Alberta Court. He also mixed three tracks-"Be Everything," "Turn Off This Song And Go Outside" and "I Don't Want To Live There." The balance of the album was mixed by John Goodmanson (Girls, Nada Surf, Weezer).

"The Lonely Forest proves to me," says Walla, "In a time full of throwbacks and references and meta-references, that nothing can beat a focused, bulletproof guitar rock band with amazing songs. I didn't start a label for nothing."

From the outset The Lonely Forest-singer/guitarist/keyboardist John Van Deusen, guitarist Tony Ruland, drummer Braydn Krueger and bassist Eric Sturgeon- has been about inclusion. Having made their mark as a regional favorite with three prior records, the band never imagined a swift and organic rise to national distinction.

The Heavy Gunners are at again with a new single from Grey Granite and Bob G. Barker. Their new single "All Hate" is an anthem dedicated to the eternal struggle to combat haterism and backstabbery. (Don't you like how we just made up two words?) The original beat for the track is from Chicagoan group Overflow. Make sure you check out the corresponding video, directed by Grey Granite, too!

Over the past few of years, Grey Granite has consistently distinguished himself from other vocalists by perpetually reinventing his style and jumping on anything that catches his interest. Starting with his legendary Amplifies the Killers project to his recent immaculate album Lust Poisons Pride, Grey has been one of the few artists in the Midwest to successfully go left and follow his sonic dreams. His creativity has recently garnered the support of Kick Kick Snare, Ruby Hornet, Loyal KNG, Noise Porn, Nuvo, and Musical Family Tree and several other media outlets. Now with his partner J. Brookinz, the duo have launched Heavy Gun Recordings and are beginning next portion of their journey.

The sound of italian duo Crimea X has been called Social Kraut Disco. Their first album ‘Prospective’ has been well received by the nu-disco community, played by some of the best DJs on the globe and loved by everyone who saw them live…

‘re:prospective’ is an eclectic remix package of Crimea X tracks by some of our favourite producers out there in the jungle. Crimea X’s second single ‘Varvara’ gets a wicked tropical cosmic funk treat by his majesty Bjorn Torske and it's already a future classic as championed by Sir Andrew Weatherall on his BBC show.

Other remixes on the album come courtesy of Daniele Baldelli, Mushrooms Project, up and coming Italian indietronica duo ‘Tempelhof’ bring , Florian Meindl, The

Timewriter, Alex Smoke & more.
Crimea X’s Re:Prospective combines hints of disco, pop, and space-aged sounds reminiscent of The XX and Animal Collective, forging an unstoppable machine of indie-electronic eardrum manipulation.

From its inception in 2006, Ferrara-based Hell Yeah Recordings is the first and only Italian-based label to move experimental, ear-grabbing electronic to the forefront of its production goals. Headed by renown DJ / producer Marco “PeeDoo Gallerani” of Mantra Breaks fame, Hell Yeah combines the varying strengths of like-minded sound-smiths Florian Meindl, Dyno, Enzo Elia, Martin Patino, Taster Peter, Marco Dassi, E-The-Hot / Pirate Robot Midget, Crimea X, Ajello, and SuperSonic Lovers to create an arsenal of music as diverse as the artists represented. Renowned producers Radio

Slave, Santos, Umek, Oliver Koletzki and Blatta & Inesha have helped establish Hell Yeah’s eclectic identity, based on a philosophy of favoring multi-dimensional audible innovations over predictable techno structures.
In 2011, perhaps its most ambitious year to date, Hell Yeah sees the release of a series of progressive productions that straddle genres, defy conventions and blur barriers between listening and dance music.

"Back and Forth" chronicles the 16 year history of the Foo Fighters: from the band's very first songs created as cassette demos Dave Grohl recorded during his tenure as Nirvana's drummer, through its ascent to their Grammy-winning, multi-platinum, arena and stadium headlining status as one of the biggest rock bands on the planet.

Produced by Nigel Sinclair ("No Direction Home: Bob Dylan", "Amazing Journey the Story of the Who", "The Last Play at Shea") of Exclusive Media Group's Spitfire Pictures, and produced and directed by Oscar(r) and Emmy(r) winner James Moll, "Back and Forth" culminates with the making of the band's new album Wasting Light: a process in which the band pushed itself forward by going fully back to basics and recording in Grohl's garage completely on analog tape. No computers, no software - just a band recording an album to tape in a garage. The new record also marks the Foos' first full-length effort with legendary producer Butch Vig, with whom Grohl worked on Nirvana's classic album Nevermind.

"Back and Forth," will be followed by a live 3D performance from the band, playing their new album Wasting Light front to back. Check out a trailer for "Back and Forth" to get a sneak peak. For ticketing info and release date on the movie, check out the band's official site for the film, www.foofightersfilm.com. Also, fans can follow the original White Limo on Twitter and Tumblr, as it drives across country blasting the new record. Wasting Light hits stores and online April 12th!

MORTAL KOMBAT: SONGS INSPIRED BY THE WARRIORS TURNS THE VOLUME UP ON APRIL 5

SOUNDTRACK EXECUTIVE PRODUCED BY JFK OF MSTRKRFT/DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979

WaterTower Music and Teenage Riot Records have unveiled the details of the album Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors. This collection of electronic music inspired by the upcoming Mortal Kombat game, is being executive produced by JFK (of the DJ/ production duo MSTRKRFT and Death From Above 1979) and is set for release April 5th.

JFK has assembled a spectacular group of DJs and producers to continue the tradition of weaving electronic music into the Mortal Kombat aesthetic. He enthusiastically describes the project, saying "It's always exciting to have the opportunity to write music for something outside of the traditional means, especially when it is for a project like Mortal Kombat that has had such pop cultural significance for so long. It's a great step forward for the ways that video games can interact with music across unique genres and mediums."

That same excitement has been echoed by the artists who are contributing to the project. "I've been a Mortal Kombat fan since Mortal Kombat 2 came out on Sega Genesis. This was completely a passion project for me, and I'm so honored to be a part of the Mortal Kombat legacy!" declares glitch-step wunderkind Skrillex, who contributes "Reptile's Theme" to the project.

Celebrated producer Harvard Bass, who recorded "Helado (Sub-Zero's Theme)"for the collection, adds emphatically "When I found out I was going to work on music for Mortal Kombat, I almost lost it. I've been a huge fan of the game and it was a privilege to be a part of video game history." And DJ and producer Congorock says "Mortal Kombat has shocked me since the first time I played it...for the album I went for something more atmospheric and less clubby, but still it feels like a dream coming true."

Since the dawn of time, and perhaps even before, there was a silent order who were tasked with a mission. They held their secret tightly. On may 3rd the HOT SAUCE COMMITTEE PART TWO will be unleashed on the general public. Hold fast ye heathens.

Come celebrate the physical release of The Pretty Reckless' debut album on April 12th in New York City. The band will be performing and meeting fans at a special in-store at Best Buy Union Square. Fans can purchase a copy of the album at the store to gain access to the performance and a CD signing after the show.
Light Me Up debuted on the UK’s rock chart at #1, spending 6 consecutive weeks at the top of the chart. The single debuted on the main chart at #6. The video for the focus track, “Just Tonight” can be viewed at http://bit.ly/JustTonight. The songs are all written by Momsen, her producer Kato Khandwala (Paramore, Breaking Benjamin, All Time Low) and guitarist Ben Phillips.

“Her low-pitched purr, set against the choppy metallic kink of her band, showed off the sort of wrath that made Courtney Love famous. Except that Momsen sounded clearer and finer than Love ever could.” – The Philadelphia Inquirer

“The girl can really belt out a tune. She's got a gutsy, appealingly raw and grainy alto that puts her in the same company as Courtney Love and the young Sass Jordan.” – The Toronto Star

“Once Momsen shakes that Gossip Girl perception and more people give her band a shot, The Pretty Reckless might prove to be exactly what the female-fronted rock band niche has been looking for.” - The Dallas Observer

“The Pretty Reckless sounds like a hard-bitten bar band fronted by a woman who has to be old enough to have roomed with Courtney Love in Seattle in the '90s.” - The Houston Press

“Momsen's stage presence is magnetic.” - Phoenix New Times
"Fans expecting a shot of saccharine, bubble gum pop from The Pretty Reckless will be surprised at the rough-hewn sound of the band; Momsen's more Courtney Love than Miranda Cosgrove.” – The Detroit News

Good Charlotte "Last Night" at Double Dare from Good Charlotte

Dominique Young Unique - Glamorous Touch Mixtape by Artjam Records

The Dave Grohl-directed video for "Rope," the first single from Foo Fighters' forthcoming seventh studio album Wasting Light, has been confirmed for an MTV/MTV.com premiere 7:54pm ET/PT on Thursday, March 10.

Wasting Light will be released April 12 on Roswell/RCA, while “Rope” is available now both as a digital single and as an instant grat with iTunes pre-orders of the full record.

Produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, Wasting Light's no computers/no software back to basics approach has resulted in arguably the strongest and most cohesive effort of the band’s 15-year-plus career: From first single “Rope” to the frenetic opener “Bridge Burning” to the beautifully bipolar “These Days” to stunning guest spots from Bob Mould (“Dear Rosemary”) and Krist Novoselic (“I Should Have Known”), Wasting Light is a singular triumph: a band that’s headlined arenas, stadiums and festivals the world over stripping itself down to the bare essentials and coming up with its finest hour.

Following hot on the heels of Wasting Light's release will be Medium Rare, a vinyl-only compendium of the Foo Fighters' arsenal of classic cover tunes, released to commemorate this year's annual Record Store Day at participating stores only. Medium Rare is a must for every serious Foo Fighters fan who's thrilled to the band's versions of Paul McCartney & Wings' "Band On The Run" recorded at Abbey Road, seen them bust out Pink Floyd's "Have A Cigar," Gary Numan's "Down In The Park" or Mose Allison's (by way of The Who) "Young Man Blues" in live sets over the years, or scoured the digital and physical worlds for their versions of Husker Du's "Never Talking To You Again," The Ramones' "Danny Says" or Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street." Medium Rare marks the first and only time all these and more have been compiled in one place, along with previously unreleased versions of Thin Lizzy's "Bad Reputation" and The Zombies' "This Will Be Our Year."
In other news, the namesake of the “White Limo” video (which has surpassed one million views at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebJ2brErERQ) will soon be embarking on a cross-country tour of record stores, radio stations, gas stations and more, playing Wasting Light for those lucky enough to find it. Yes, the same vehicle that co-stars in the smash vital video along with Foo Fighters Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear, and the legendary Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, will be traversing the country and spreading the rock. Follow it here http://whitelimotour.tumblr.com/ and here http://twitter.com/WHITELIMOTOUR.

Finally, Wasting Light's release will be preceded by the release of a feature length Foo Fighters documentary directed by Academy Award winner James Moll (The Last Days, Running The Sahara), produced by Nigel Sinclair (No Direction Home: Bob Dylan, Amazing Journey: The Story Of The Who, The Last Play At Shea) and financed by Exclusive Media Group and RCA Records. Moll’s documentary, from Spitfire Pictures, chronicles the entire history of the Foo Fighters, from the cassette demos Grohl recorded during his tenure as Nirvana’s drummer through their ascent to their Grammy-winning, multi-platinum, arena and stadium headlining status as one of the biggest rock bands on the planet.

Alternative Press Band To Watch FUNERAL PARTY To Support Deftones And The Dillinger Escape Plan On Spring Tour

Funeral Party To Make National Television Debut On Late Show With Letterman; Coveted Spots On Jimmy Kimmel Live! and South By Southwest

Funeral Party's U.S. Debut The Golden Age Of Knowhere Out March 29, 2011

Los Angeles, CA. (March 9, 2011) - Funeral Party will join legendary alt-metal band Deftones and mathcore mavericks The Dillinger Escape Plan on their North American spring tour, beginning on April 14 in Seattle, WA. The tour begins just weeks after the highly anticipated release of Funeral Party's debut album The Golden Age Of Knowhere on March 29, 2011.

The Golden Age Of Knowhere was produced by Lars Stalfors (Matt & Kim, The Mars Volta) and mixed by Dave Sardy (Band of Horses, LCD Soundsystem, Oasis). The first three songs - "New York City Moves to the Sound of L.A.,""Carwars," and UK hit, "Just Because" -are highlights of the post-punk onslaught that the record instills. BBC Radio's Zane Lowe has included several tracks off the album in his "Hottest Record in the World" playlist, including first U.S.single "Finale." The video for the single recently won MtvU's Freshman and is also a part of this month's Fuse/MySpaceIntroducing series.

Funeral Party will offer fans a prelude to their upcoming tour with showcases at South By Southwest as well as performances on the Late Show with David Letterman on March 31 and Jimmy Kimmel Live! on April 6. In addition, fans can experience what the Los Angeles Times calls "a ravenously physical, technically precise and impossibly fun live act" with intimate showcases at New York City's Mercury Lounge on March 30 and at the Los Angeles' Echo on April 8.

Named one of Alternative Press' Bands to Watch in 2011, Funeral Party's DIY mentality and accompanying live energy furthered their rise from a local underground band to a worldwide alt-rock success.

AGESANDAGES ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH LAKE STARTING IN APRIL

SXSW DATES IN MARCH

The seven-piece rock outfit AgesandAges, led by Tim Perry, has announced their upcoming dates at SXSW as well as a month worth of touring throughout the US and Canada. The Portland-grown band released their debut album, Alright You Restless, earlier this year on Knitting Factory Records. Purveyors of music characterized by themes of deliberate isolation and the challenges of stepping outside of the societal bubble, AgesandAges are elated to travel the open road and find listeners with similar inclinations. The ladies and gentlemen of A&A all sing, clap, and give each song a full family band feel that ignites the audience to join along in joyous celebration. You can find AgesandAges at SXSW on March 18th and March 19th. Their first North American tour with Lake will start April 14th in San Francisco and end a month later. Full dates below.

To celebrate the upcoming dates, AgesandAges have released their latest single, "So So Freely". Along with the complimentary track, a live video of the song from their record release show at Mississippi Studios can be viewed below.

"Raccoon" from There was an old woman records on Vimeo.

Los Angeles, CA - March 8, 2011 - "Raccoon" - the debut music video for The Shoe - actress Jena Malone and musician Lem Jay Ignacio's improvisational music project makes its premiere today, Tuesday, March 8 only at www.NYLONmag.com. The track and video bundle are featured on The Shoe's new digital EP release titled "The Shoe: At Lem Jay's Garage" available now exclusively on iTunes. The duo is also currently offering a free mp3 download of the song at: www.ThereWasAnOldWomanRecords.com

The video created and directed by abstract puppeteer Yelena Zhelezov features a handmade human body that explores the unseen interiors of the heart, throat and lungs, shot completely on a dime size security camera.

"The Shoe: At Lem Jay's Garage" digital EP features five original tracks written and produced by the duo, and includes a cover of Neil Young's "Stupid Girl." The video for "Raccoon" is also included in the exclusive iTunes bundle.

What is The Shoe? First and foremost, The Shoe is the improvisational music project between longtime friends actress Jena Malone (Into the Wild, The Messenger, Sucker Punch) and musician/producer Lem Jay Ignacio. Secondly, The Shoe is actually a traveling musical contraption; a "one woman instrument...built out of an old steamer trunk" designed to house an assortment of musical devices including a drum machine, looper, keyboards and sound effect boxes.

In early 2008, the duo, also known as "The Shoe," recorded a series of songs before embarking on a string of impromptu live shows around Los Angeles. Busking style performances at makeshift, unconventional venues, including underneath a pair of billboards in a park by the L.A. river, at a closed store front on the corner of Lucille and Hoover, Coco's Mini-Mart parking lot in Lincoln Heights, and a building rooftop on Wilshire Blvd. at night fall, among other places. The live "shows," promoted mostly by word of mouth, were sometimes accompanied by an email that included a scanned copy of a hand drawn treasure map, taking eager music goers on a hunt that ultimately led them to Jena, Lem Jay, The Shoe and a generator.

Jena is currently starring in director Zack Snyder's (300, Watchmen) new epic action fantasy Sucker Punch, slated to hit theaters March 25th. She recently starred in several music videos including UK electro-pop act Dirty Vegas' "Electric Love," Toronto rock
trio Danko Jones' "I Think Bad Thoughts" and psychedelic singer/songwriter Harper Simon's "Berkeley Girl." She has previously released two independent albums, "Blood Stains for Sailors" and "Emotional Nutrition," under the moniker "Jena Malone and Her Blood Stains."

Lem Jay Ignacio has performed and recorded with an eclectic group of artists including Zooey Deschanel, Moby, Cypress Hill, Kelly Osbourne, Adam Levine, Camp Freddy, and Seth MacFarlane. Last year he co-produced the song "The Man with the Big Sombrero" for Quentin Tarantino's Oscar-winning film Inglourious Basterds and in 2006 he was the musical director and keyboardist for a production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Donovan Leitch and Bijou Phillips.

Think you have what it takes to be a rock star? Natalia Kills is challenging her fans to put their own spin on her single “Mirrors” for the chance to win a one-on-one Skype session and a signed copy of the song’s sheet music.

The expanded, remastered reissue of Queens Of The Stone Age's classic 1998 debut out digitally March 8 and on CD and vinyl April 19 on Rekords Rekords/Domino can now be streamed in its entirety at the band's website and social media channels, as well via the site of the band's own Rekords Rekords imprint and label partner Domino.

Queens Of The Stone Age will be available on CD (REK001CD), double vinyl LP (REK001LP) and via digital download (REK001D). Pre-orders for the vinyl or CD formats will receive an instantly available digital download of the full record.

Queens Of The Stone Age is commemorating the upcoming reissue with a limited series of intimate shows at which the band will play the record in its entirety, plus B-sides and other rarities and hits from the early Queens catalogue up to the present. The tour kicks off March 16 in Austin TX and will now conclude with a just-added second Los Angeles show on April 13, the day after which Queens will appear on CONAN. At press time, the tour was nearly completely sold out, with tickets remaining for only four dates (Omaha, Des Moines, St. Louis and Kansas City).

The genesis of Queens Of The Stone Age-the band and this first album-goes back to the 1995 dissolution of the criminally overlooked Kyuss, specifically founding guitarist Homme's migration from the California Desert to the Pacific Northwest to work on a new project concurrent with spending time on the road as second guitarist in Screaming Trees. Homme discarded the sludgy low-end expanses of his former band for much tighter song structure (for the most part) and honest-to-goodness capital 'H' hooks and what was originally christened Gamma Ray was quickly changed to Queens Of The Stone Age shortly after its 1996 birth.

Homme returned to his old stomping grounds and reunited with latter day Kyuss drummer Alfredo Hernandez to record as a fake trio (bass player "Carlo Von Sexron" is a nom-de-boom for Homme) and QOTSA came into full bloom, releasing the original version of this first album in 1998. If this re-issue doesn't document "hour zero," it's only a few minutes past. "Regular John" introduces Homme as a smooth and assured vocalist with great melodic instinct. Tracks like "Avon" and "Walkin On Sidewalks" lock into heavy riffs that are in entrancing in their repetition and subtle shifts. And it's hard to believe that insistently catchy "How To Handle A Rope" didn't make a greater impact on mainstream radio upon its initial release.

The Rekords Rekords/Domino re-issue has been fully remastered from the original tapes and expanded by three tracks: "The Bronze" and "These Aren't the Droids Your Looking For" from the long out of print 1998 QOTSA/Beaver split EP and "Spiders and Vinegaroons" from the posthumous Kyuss/QOTSA split EP. The album will be the first released via a worldwide alliance between Queens' Joshua Homme's own Rekords Rekords and Domino to market, promote and distribute selected titles from their catalogue.

The complete itinerary for the Queens Of The Stone Age commemorative tour is as follows:

On February 15, 2011, DJ Cassidy and ?uestlove launched Rock/Freak at Good Units in New York City. Over one thousand people packed the Hudson Hotel basement venue to take part in what the deejay duo calls "a renaissance of dance parties." Powered by New York nightlife legend Jonny Lennon, Rock/Freak presents a five-hour journey of music, spanning both genre and time.

Before taking the stage at Radio City Music Hall opening for pop sensation, Robyn, 24-year-old singer/songwriter, Natalia Kills, strutted her stuff and rocked out at Trash and Vaudeville, a fashion institution for rock-n-roll visited by everyone from Slash to Angelina Jolie. After spending months on a tour bus, Kills was excited to do some shopping and give fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her edgy, yet sexy look.
