Alternative Press Band To Watch FUNERAL PARTY To Support Deftones And The Dillinger Escape Plan On Spring Tour

Funeral Party To Make National Television Debut On Late Show With Letterman; Coveted Spots On Jimmy Kimmel Live! and South By Southwest

Funeral Party's U.S. Debut The Golden Age Of Knowhere Out March 29, 2011

Los Angeles, CA. (March 9, 2011) - Funeral Party will join legendary alt-metal band Deftones and mathcore mavericks The Dillinger Escape Plan on their North American spring tour, beginning on April 14 in Seattle, WA. The tour begins just weeks after the highly anticipated release of Funeral Party's debut album The Golden Age Of Knowhere on March 29, 2011.

The Golden Age Of Knowhere was produced by Lars Stalfors (Matt & Kim, The Mars Volta) and mixed by Dave Sardy (Band of Horses, LCD Soundsystem, Oasis). The first three songs - "New York City Moves to the Sound of L.A.,""Carwars," and UK hit, "Just Because" -are highlights of the post-punk onslaught that the record instills. BBC Radio's Zane Lowe has included several tracks off the album in his "Hottest Record in the World" playlist, including first U.S.single "Finale." The video for the single recently won MtvU's Freshman and is also a part of this month's Fuse/MySpaceIntroducing series.

Funeral Party will offer fans a prelude to their upcoming tour with showcases at South By Southwest as well as performances on the Late Show with David Letterman on March 31 and Jimmy Kimmel Live! on April 6. In addition, fans can experience what the Los Angeles Times calls "a ravenously physical, technically precise and impossibly fun live act" with intimate showcases at New York City's Mercury Lounge on March 30 and at the Los Angeles' Echo on April 8.

Named one of Alternative Press' Bands to Watch in 2011, Funeral Party's DIY mentality and accompanying live energy furthered their rise from a local underground band to a worldwide alt-rock success.
