The sound of italian duo Crimea X has been called Social Kraut Disco. Their first album ‘Prospective’ has been well received by the nu-disco community, played by some of the best DJs on the globe and loved by everyone who saw them live…
‘re:prospective’ is an eclectic remix package of Crimea X tracks by some of our favourite producers out there in the jungle. Crimea X’s second single ‘Varvara’ gets a wicked tropical cosmic funk treat by his majesty Bjorn Torske and it's already a future classic as championed by Sir Andrew Weatherall on his BBC show.
Other remixes on the album come courtesy of Daniele Baldelli, Mushrooms Project, up and coming Italian indietronica duo ‘Tempelhof’ bring , Florian Meindl, The
Timewriter, Alex Smoke & more.
Crimea X’s Re:Prospective combines hints of disco, pop, and space-aged sounds reminiscent of The XX and Animal Collective, forging an unstoppable machine of indie-electronic eardrum manipulation.
From its inception in 2006, Ferrara-based Hell Yeah Recordings is the first and only Italian-based label to move experimental, ear-grabbing electronic to the forefront of its production goals. Headed by renown DJ / producer Marco “PeeDoo Gallerani” of Mantra Breaks fame, Hell Yeah combines the varying strengths of like-minded sound-smiths Florian Meindl, Dyno, Enzo Elia, Martin Patino, Taster Peter, Marco Dassi, E-The-Hot / Pirate Robot Midget, Crimea X, Ajello, and SuperSonic Lovers to create an arsenal of music as diverse as the artists represented. Renowned producers Radio
Slave, Santos, Umek, Oliver Koletzki and Blatta & Inesha have helped establish Hell Yeah’s eclectic identity, based on a philosophy of favoring multi-dimensional audible innovations over predictable techno structures.
In 2011, perhaps its most ambitious year to date, Hell Yeah sees the release of a series of progressive productions that straddle genres, defy conventions and blur barriers between listening and dance music.
