Boston native Cam Meekins is a storyteller MC fresh out of high school class of 2011, and a musician who plays four different instruments-- so he’s using this unique level of skill to mold together a totally new sound in hip hop. Cam’s debut video “Rain” has been viewed over 250,000 times on YouTube and his wildly popular “1993” mixtape, released in March of this year, crashed the server at Datpiff.com when it dropped. To date, it’s been downloaded over 21,000 times.

Cam is in the studio 24/7 making new music and wants to share the love by launching “Meekins Mondays”, where he will drop a brand new track every Monday for his fans, who are all part of his “Lamp City” movement. To hear the new track every Monday, check out one of Cam’s social media pages (YouTube Channel; Facebook; Twitter; Lamp City Tumblr). Yesterday, he kicked off Meekins Mondays with his hot new, never-before-heard track “Primetime Hamtime”…in less than 24 hours, it’s had over 150K views on YouTube, over 100 “Likes” on Facebook…listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/user/CamMeekinsProd09#p/u/5/tSaFphpc6Tw

“I’m making Mondays manageable,” Meekins explains, “my fans been by my side through everything, so I wanna give ‘em a new song every Monday.”

With upcoming live performances at CMJ this month, plus 2012 SXSW, not to mention a college campus takeover tour currently in the works, Cam is laying the groundwork to become the face of the next generation of hip hop.  But at the core of it all, is the music.
