BAND HAS SONG FEATURED ON NICK JR. "YO GABBA GABBA";
SET TO APPEAR ON SIRIUS XMU, NPR "WORLD CAFÉ," &
KCRW "MORNING BECOMES ECLECTIC"

The Decemberists have announced a second leg of U.S. tour dates for the Spring, which will kick off April 16 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and cover the Midwest and South before reaching Atlanta, Georgia on May 2. The 14-date run will also include the band's first-ever appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 1, and a rescheduled performance in Royal Oak, Michigan on April 22. A limited presale of select dates is now underway here. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning February 11.

The Decemberists are currently in the midst of the sold-out first leg of their North American tour on the heels of their #1 album The King Is Dead on EMI's Capitol Records. The band's live show has already drawn rave reviews from the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and Chicago Sun-Times. The New York Post wrote that "the set spanned the band's 10-year career, but wisely leaned heaviest on The King is Dead. Songs from that record made the best case for why the group should be superstars."

Rolling Stone recently premiered "The Great Outdoors," an original song written by Yo Gabba Gabba that was performed by The Decemberists and will appear in the February 8 episode of the popular Nick Jr. children's television show. The band will also be featured over the coming weeks on Sirius' XMU channel (February 9), KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" (February 11), and World Café (February 14).
