NYC/Hoboken artist Jason Gluskin will showcases his vibrant, music and cityscape paintings at his first New York City solo show, dubbed Urban Expressions, this December. The month-long exhibition will be hosted at Midoma Gallery. The show kicks off with a reception party, featuring an acoustic set by singer-songwriter Jacyln Dima and handcrafted jewelry by Steve Reily on December 9th from 6 pm – 8 pm.
In the past year Gluskin’s work has been on display throughout New York City and New Jersey.

He has sold many original acrylic paintings and prints, and co-created a mural at the Hoboken Medical Center Pediatrics Ward with local students. His signature style has garnered press in television, film, print and online media. (See Press and Video). Jason strives to capture the dynamic energy of music and his surroundings, on canvas, in a unique and explosive way. “The city’s brightness and positive energy are a dominant theme in my work”, says Gluskin. He has been dubbed a “Rock ‘N’ Roll” painter by NYC area media.

Jason’s painting reflects his impressions of Rock, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Country and Punk. Some compositions are representations of real musicians, including The Band with Bob Dylan which was profiled in The Bands’ bass player Rick Danko’s website and one featuring Bruce Springsteen which was showcased on the arts page of NJ.com.
“Music fills my world.

Certain songs or albums will strike a chord or emotion that I need to project visually. The compositions of famous musicians are imaginary, though I watch performance footage to capture the artists personas. That energy transcends all my other work.
