Body Talk Pt. 2 is Robyn’s 6th studio album and the midsection of a three part series she’s releasing this year. Robyn picks up where Part 1 left off…talking about friendship, relationships, love and all that stuff that happens in between. This album features the electro pop feel that Robyn fans have come to love and expect…but this time things are faster, fiercer and more dance ready than ever before! (And that’s a good thing…I promise.)
‘Hang With Me’, the first single being release off Body Talk 2, maintains the albums upbeat vibe, while having an interesting, hopeful idea behind it. A catchy pop beat is not always easy to couple with lyrics like “It’s gonna be all heartbreak, blissfully, painful insanity”, but if anyone was going pull it off, it’s Robyn. And she does it …really well in fact!
In between the thoughtful lyrics and the synths, there are some beat heavy, dance club friendly tracks including ‘Love Kills’, ‘Criminal Intent’ and my personal favorite ‘U Should Know Better’ which features Snoop Dogg. One of the best lines in the song (and maybe the entire album) has to be “You know when in Rome I sat down with the Romans, said we need a black Pope and she better be a woman.” And who isn’t a sucker for a girl who tells basically everyone including the prince of darkness himself, the Vatican and the entire music industry not to ‘fuck with’ her?
The album finishes with a stunning acoustic pop track, unlike anything we’ve heard from Robyn before, called ‘Indestructible’. It’s insanely addictive, the violins are haunting and with lyrics like “I’m gonna love you like I’ve never been hurt before”,
I’m crossing my fingers for this one to be an upcoming single. If ‘Indestructible’ is any foreshadowing into what Body Talk Part 3 might sound like, then I’m looking forward to a softer, emotion fueled ending to this three part saga.
Over all, a great solid electro-pop album from Robyn. Her catchy hooks will be stuck in your head for days…but trust me, you’ll like it.

I didn't really like part 1 thought the first two songs were good then the rest was way to pop grabbing this on itunes for sure.
huh I thought that her last album was the new one didnt know she's coming out with three parts I guess thats cool.
