The Dodos will be making their US television debut this Friday January 8th on The Late Show With David Letterman! Please tune in to what will prove to be one of the greatest TV performances of 2010. And Airing Monday, December 21, at 8:00pm ET / 5:00pm PT, and re-airing several more times over the next month, FUEL TV will showcase “Check 1, 2: The Dodos.” Indie rock outfit The Dodos use their unconventional approach to conjure up some beautiful, live noise. Follow the band on their journey down the Pacific Coast starting in their hometown of San Francisco. In Big Sur they present a magical set at the Henry Miller Library. Several days later they visit the legendary Casbah in San Diego. This intimate mini-documentary features songs such as “Fools” from the band’s breakout release Visiter as well as “Fables” and “This is a Business” from their most recent Frenchkiss Records offering Time To Die.
The Dodos and Magik Magik Orchestra will collaborate on a one of a kind exclusive performance at Noise Pop 2010, at Palace Of Fine Arts on 2/25. Minna, the leader of the Magik Magik Orchestra has written this below to give everybody some info and insight into the show: "It will be our first time playing a Noise Pop. I am composing 10 arrangements of Dodos songs all featuring the band and various members of the orchestra. Some songs will sound quite different from the original. I'm aiming to have at least one song from every Dodos record to date including Meric's solo EP. We will be a 26 piece formation for this show including a small women's choir, strings, winds, brass and lots of percussion as that seems appropriate for the Dodos sound."
