Following the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album, Everything's Fine, The Summer Set are heading back out on the road as direct support to Plain White T's on their Wonders of the Younger Fall 2011 tour. The tour will kick off September 25th in Minneapolis, MN at Fine Line Music and hit venues nationwide, concluding in Blacksburg, VA on November 1st at Virginia Tech University.
The Summer Set's July 19th release, Everything's Fine, is now available in-stores and on all digital service providers. A special deluxe edition is available exclusively on iTunes featuring additional videos and photos. The 11 track album has already been awarded 4 stars by Alternative Press Magazine and AbsolutePunk raves, "Everything's Fine just takes that bar to another level." Recorded in Los Angeles with super-producer John Fields (Jimmy Eat World, Jonas Brothers, Switchfoot, Andrew W.K.), Everything's Fine features the single "Someone Like You." The music video for the song debuted on MTV last month. Everything's Fine entered the Billboard Independent chart at #10 in its first week and doubled first week sales of the band's previous studio outing, Love Like This released in September, 2009.
The Arizona based The Summer Set is Brian Dales (vocals), John Gomez (guitar), Stephen Gomez (bass), Josh Montgomery (guitar) and Jess Bowen (drums). Formed as teenagers, the band released their first full length album, Love Like This (Razor & Tie) in 2009. The Summer Set has quickly become a phenomenon throughout the independent music scene, being named one of the 100 Artists To Watch by Alternative Press in 2010 with vocalist Dales featured on the cover, and what appeared to be a never-ending two years of successful tours with high profile artists including All Time Low, Never Shout Never, and Cartel, as well as been part of the AP Tour, Vans Warped Tour, Bamboozle and Hoodwink Festival.
