Brooklyn’s Suckers recently reached out to some of their friends to put a new spin on their brilliant Wild Smile track, “A Mind I Knew,” and the results were pretty darn successful if you ask us. On Friday, RCRDLBL premiered the brand new remix, titled, “A Mind Less Known (Baryshnikov Remix),” by the new NYC production duo Baryshnikov, and yesterday AOL Spinner premiered that remix’s video directed by Matthew Caron.
Suckers’ bassist/multi-instrumentalist Pan told Spinner about the remixers’/director’s connections to the band:
"Mikhail Bortnik is the creative director & co-owner of Mishka (mishkanyc.com) and one half of Baryshnikov... he also used to be my boss. After teaming up with Mike Dextro, an old childhood friend, as Baryshnikov, it kind of made sense for them to do a remix for us. Matt Caron, who has been working with Mishka for years on various projects has also been doing live projections for us for the past couple years... it was kind of the obvious next move for him to make a video for the remix... the slime in the video is the same recipe from the old Nickelodeon TV show "You Can't Do That On Television"!"
