In anticipation of their upcoming US tour with fellow Vice artists Pierced Arrows and a run of headlining dates across Canada, the Toronto-based duo of Kat Taylor-Small (bass and vocals) and Justin Small (drums and vocals) are following up their ferocious sophomore album Threats/Worship (2009) with a free EP Heart Like a Wheel available for download today.
Comprised of three riff-heavy ragers, the EP presents a sonic affront that veers alternately from a punk'n'roll swagger to a dirge-infested bludgeoning. Infectious and irresistibly heavy, these are anthems for the dispossessed; a call to arms to those who demand their rock gritty and pure, as it was meant to be.
