Today Porter Robinson, the 19-year old producer from North Carolina who has graced stages internationally alongside the biggest names in EDM, announces Spitfire, his debut EP on OWSLA to be released exclusively on Beatport September 13th. Porter has rapidly ascended the ranks of the international electronic music scene, captivating audiences with his ability to skillfully blend genres into his own unique sound that's complex yet catchy, and classic yet cutting edge. On September 13th, he'll demonstrate his masterful eclecticism with an 11-track EP that spans moods of Electro House, Dubstep, Moombahton and even Trance, and includes remixes from Knife Party, Downlink, SkisM, Kill The Noise and Mikkas. The album will be released through a partnership with Skrillex's OWSLA project, an arrangement that grew organically out of a mutual respect for each other's music. Continually impressed with his relentless work ethic and mastery of a crowd, Skrillex recruited Porter Robinson to the label, positioning the Spitfire EP as its inaugural release. All of this comes on the heels of a strong history, having recently performed with the likes of Tiesto, Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, Afrojack, Moby, A-Trak, and Dada Life, and having also recently produced official remixes for artists including Lady Gaga and Innerpartysystem. In conjunction with the release, Porter has just announced his Spitfire Tour - approximately 50 dates covering the United States, Canada and Mexico, including 3 weeks as direct support for Tiesto on his Club Life College Invasion Tour. Watch the full video at Baeblemusic.com Ellie Goulding is radiant on the big stage, with piercing lights and full orchestration firing behind her starry pop tunes. Yet somehow, the British songwriter seems even larger than life when it's all taken away...the production of her performance stripped to nothing but her unparalleled voice and a few instrumental accents. At a private session at The Bowery Electric, Ellie took the guitar and accentuating voices behind her to dazzling heights, revealing that the true power of her refrain rests in her bare vocal flourishes and harmonies. Playing a selection of songs from her debut album Lights, including the effervescent "Starry Eyed", Ellie left the room in awe of both her songwriting and the way her voice brings each track to another level. It's an inspiring, anomalous session, and definitely one you'll want to share with everyone you know. Don't miss this exceptional look at Ellie's talent, as well as the conversation in between songs, for a better look at a new star who is bound to shine brighter and brighter in years to come.
