Banlieue 13, two years later. The government has changed, not the rest ... The wall of isolation - ever higher, ever growing, ever further - has spread around the cities ghettos and gangs that are proliferating have increased their influence. The traffic is now divided among five ethnic neighborhoods, each headed by a fearsome gang leader. More than ever determined to settle the problem, the secret services voluntarily fire to powder. Damien (Cyril Raffaelli), cop martial arts expert, and Leito (David Belle), able to squeeze in every corner of the suburbs, make new team. Their goal: to save the city from chaos. Their program: tough fighting and race for defying the laws of gravity ... - This synopsys was pasted from twitchfilm.net and is posted as is - zero editing.

December 22, 2009—CALL THE COPS, On the heels of signing a deal with MySpace Records, Long Beach, CA’s Call The Cops have just been added to the Hot Topic Presents 2010 Sub City Take Action Tour lineup, joining headliners We The Kings, as well as Mayday Parade, There For Tomorrow, and A Rocket to the Moon. CALL THE COPS will be on the first half of the annual nationwide charity tour, now in its ninth year, raising funds and awareness for youth involvement in charitable action. The tour will kick off in Atlanta, GA on January 25th and end on March 2nd in Dallas. This year the tour will spotlight Patrick Pedraja’s Driving for Donors organization (www.drivingfordonors.com) and the need to get people signed up for the National Marrow Registry.
Currently in the studio recording with Matt Squire (3Oh3!, All Time Low, Panic! At the Disco), Sugarcult lead singer Tim Pagnotta, and Ian Kirkpatrick , the band’s MySpace Records’ debut EP will be released this spring.
It started in Edmonton, spread to Toronto & Montreal and begins to circle the world – an infectious musical exploration that’s filtered into the ears of London Hipsters, Parisian electro-kids right through to New York Fashionistas. The creators of this musical blitzkrieg are DVAS, a pair of electro-dance innovators who have busted-beats from their hometown in Edmonton alongside label mate Cadence Weapon and local pals Faunts and Shout Out Out Out Out.
Dietzche V. and the Abominable Snowman’s French touch will take you on a dangerous and sexy journey of disco, funk, and soul with their bounce-heavy set of emotional and summer-y electro house anthems. They may share some attributes with the space sounds of Daft Punk and pop legacy of Hall And Oates, but DVAS bring intense originality and innovation to up the ante on dance floor pop jams.
DVAS have released three internet-only mixtapes, a slew of remixes including a lethal-mash of Cadence Weapon’s “Getting Dumb”, available exclusively on Cadence Weapon’s iTunes release of the Separation Anxiety EP, and have brand new track “Inner Sanctum” featured on the 2009 France based blog turned label, Valerie; “Valerie And Friends” Compilation.
As 2009 draws to a close for most of us, it is only the beginning for DVAS. They make their Upper Class live debut at Pop Montreal for ‘Le UC Throwdown 09’.
Surfer Blood may have already offered the lead-off track from their upcoming Kanine debut, Astro Coast, on Pitchfork’s Forkcast earlier this fall, but this week the band is giving away “Floating Vibes” all good and proper. Just in time for the holidays, the fuzzy Floridian five-piece with one of the most anticipated records of 2010 wanted to give fans a little something extra before the year came to a close.
Speaking of this year, Surfer Blood’s ebullient single “Swim” was just named #37 on Pitchfork’s 100 Best Tracks of 2009. Download “Swim” here if you have yet to experience the power of its ridiculously catchy hooks.

Rapper Mike Schpitz is used to giving interviews, not doing them. Always up for new things and challenges, he took the opportunity to interview God-Des and She for BallerStatus. These lovely ladies had huge success on MTV before LOGO licensed one of their songs for "The L Word." When they're not on stage -- they play about 150 shows a year -- you can find them in the studio. Their album Three was produced by none other than Brian Hardgroove, the producer for Public Enemy. Plenty stuff to talk about during this interesting conversation between three creative artists.
Mike Schpitz: First off, tell people who might not know about you, "The Reader's Diges" version about yourselves.
God-Des: We're a very unique, hip-hop, pop, soul duo. We mix a lot of styles in our music from emceeing, to singing, to poetry mixed with melodies. We're just a very different sound from what people expect or have heard.
Mike Schpitz: What was the one song or songs that really opened the door for your career?
God-Des: We have been doing shows and touring together for a long time and building the interest or buzz that way. People have been spreading the word through word of mouth, press, music festivals, etcetera. Getting our song "Lick It" featured on the Showtime series The L Word drew a lot of attention. I had 200 new emails in my inbox the following day. Every time we have performed, we get asked back, and the next show is double or triple the size of the first one. Music festivals like the Dewey Beach Fest and SXSW drew a lot of attention from fans and industry people. Really, it's been a constant progression of building the buzz and gaining attention and recognition.
Murphy landed her first job in Hollywood when she was age 14, starring as Brenda Drexell in the series Drexell's Class. She then went on to play Molly Morgan in the short-lived The Torkelsons spinoff Almost Home. Murphy also guest-starred on several television series including Parker Lewis Can't Lose, Blossom, and Frasier. She also had recurring roles on Sister, Sister; Party of Five; and Boy Meets World. In 1997, she began voicing the character of Luanne Platter (as well as the younger version of Joseph Gribble) on the long-running animated series King of the Hill.
Murphy starred in many successful films, including Clueless (1995); Girl, Interrupted (1999); Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999); Don't Say a Word (2001); the TV adaption of the novel The Devil's Arithmetic (2001); 8 Mile (2002) and Uptown Girls (2003) as well as many lesser-known films, such as Spun (2003). In 2004, she starred in the romantic comedy Little Black Book, and the critically acclaimed Sin City (2005). She starred in two Edward Burns films: Sidewalks of New York (2001) and The Groomsmen (2006). In 2009, she was cast in the Lifetime TV movie, Tribute, as the main character, Cilla. She was set to appear in the Sylvester Stallone film, The Expendables, which will be released in 2010.

Three/21 and Rhymesayers Entertainment present Freeway and Jake One’s latest music video “Know What I Mean” off their new album “Stimulus Package”. The track features some aggressive and hypnotic production by Jake One and throughout the video, Free gives some words of wisdom on how to survive in the hood. “I’m the MC with a hammer that’s too legit to quit.” Shout out to Siddiq and Skye over at Rhymesayers for the look.
